Hello - I'm undergoing a number of overhauls in the off season, one of which involves replacing the ox66 engines with Suzuki's (on order). I just sold my original engines and this weekend and as part of that package the new owner wanted the rigging. So I removed the wiring harnesses and shift/throttle cables with his help. When it came to the battery cables, we stopped mid way. We were able to fish the engine ends of the cables through the tubing all the way over to the switch boxes. The positive leads clearly connect to switch boxes, but I was unable to determine how the ground cable end makes it's way over to the leaning post where the batteries are located. I could not find a junction box for the end of the harness from switch box area to to under the leaning post.

Has anyone who has replaced their engines undergone battery cable removal?

The GW owner's manual is no help it just shows the lines, but does not show a junction box.

Also - unrelated but note worthy.... One of the ground wires (engine end) was severed about 90% inside the 3" tubing between motor and back of the boat. I have no idea how that would have happened, but I assume original install. The motors have not left the boat.

On my 265 the pos cables went to the battery switch on their side and the neg cable went straight to the battery on their side.
