Any members have ideas where I can find scenic anchorages or sandy beaches on the Bay near Deale, Md? We anchor all the time in Herring Bay and occasionally cruise up to Annapolis. Any favorite spots?

Some nice spots up in the West River, Rhode River and if you want a little ride and beautiful spot to just cruise slowly and check out the scenery go to the Wye River. Lot's of nice spots to anchor, what's nice is it hasn't been built up with a bunch of homes. We have been from Cape Charles VA up to the C&D canal and the Wye River is our favorite spot. We are out of Pasadena MD

There is a really nice spot all the way in the back on the Rhode River. It gets shallow fast! Across the the bay in Broad Creek (backside of St Micheals) has some nice spots too. Im out of Deale as well. Boat is at Hidden Harbor :) Nice to see a local guy and WE have the same name. LOL!

As a regular cruiser around Deale, MD, I’ve found some great spots! Thomas Point is a scenic gem, perfect for a peaceful day on the water. For sandy beaches, try anchoring near Chesapeake Beach—it’s a bit further but worth the trip. If you’re up for exploring, the Rhode River has some quiet coves that are ideal for a relaxing anchorage.
