I have a Bimini 306 with low hour 2006 Yamaha F250s that runs 26 MPH at 4400 RPMs trimmed out on a light chop. The boat is relatively new to me and I was disappointed in this speed/efficiency. My goal is to be able to use a little less fuel traveling from Florida to the Bahamas so I am shooting for efficiency over speed. The props I have now have 15 1/4 x 19 stamped on them.

A few other things about the boat: The bottom is painted but clean (kept on a lift), there is a factory second station with factory sunshade over the second station, the prior owner put planing fins on the outboards.

Should I remove the planing fins? Get different props? Remove the bottom paint?

Do you have a fuel management gauge or screen?
You didn't state any fuel consumption numbers.
If you are planning to motor to Bimini, you will have full tanks and that extra weight will reduce your efficiency. Just be prepared for that fact of life.
What is the significance of the 4400 revs running spot?
If that is WOT, something is not right and you may have bigger prop ( pitch) than you should. It is also possible that there is something not up tp snuff with the motor that is limiting HP and therefore top end.
