2005 tournament 225. Got a replacement Bimini. Looks great. But, original connection was with a “blade” type of tube end and new Bimini came with a 90 degree outside eye end. Any idea how the 90 degree fitting attaches? What kind of mount is needed for this? Pic of old and new attached. Thks, all b

They both should have an allen head set screw, which is out of sight in the picture. Just loosen them and swap.
The old set has Allen screws, but the new is like a Rivet. I could prob just drill it out and replace with a set up like the old one. Still going to try to sort this out.

One thing to always check before trailering or getting underway is to make sure the retaining pins are seated in all the way. These things have a tendency of working themselves out over time.
The newest style of Taco's ball/socket mounts (probably been around for 7 or 8 years now) have a different locking pin that can't work it's way out by accident. I'm not sure what Hometeam bought, though. Just an FYI.
Got new ones from Taco and they are solid. still have pins but i don't anticipate them coming loose. Not any time soon.
I have to some real credit here to Great Lakes for the bimini. It is a true stock replacement. My stock glass/plastic enclosure fits and zips up perfectly. Exact stock replacement, like promised.
