On the frame there is some hardware that slides up and down the bows. Notice a lot of corrosion between the "sliders" and the bow. Are these things frozen in there for good or are there some penetrating oils that may get through the corroded material? Guessing I'll have to cut them off and put some plastics on there. Thanks in advance.
 
They are jaw slides, but they should not slide once they are properly located, and tightened. Someone may have used a set screw, or a regular screw, that was not stainless steel, and now it is corroding. They should clean up, and are much preferable to plastic fittings.
 
I have good success with PB Blaster penetrant. Soak the fitting, let it sit for a while and maybe soak again.
get the stuff at Home Depot. If all else fails, try a propane torch but don't overheat. That can turn the metal a different color
