Hello all

Recently replaced the switch. However, the original switch had some sort of semi perm putty it was seated with into the housing. I was able to push the switch out and replace it, but dont have an idea of what putty was used and will need reseat the new switch. any putty advise?

Are you sure it was original? Is the new switch wobbly? Putty sounds like a makeshift cure for someone breaking some plastic off the seat where it should sit firmly.

I had to chaneg the thumb switch on the mechanical dual control for my 2006 F150 and there was no putty.

I changed out the switch, and ultimately the handle, on a 704. No putty. Someone tried to make a temporary fix.
