I received a good quote from Quality Drive-Away to pull my Islander on my trailer from FL to MN, which I plan to accept. However, I thought I would do a little due diligence by asking whether anyone on the forum has used, or knows about, Quality and, if so, whether and why I should use or not use it.

I did check it out on the USDOT's FMCSA website which shows it has a satisfactory safety rating.

Any specific inquiries one should make in engaging a boat transport company? Tips?

If you prefer to respond privately, either PM or themorganranger@gmail.com

Thanks.

I use a guy out of Sebastian FL, Jim Burrell Transport. He is a great guy and fair. He's hauled me a couple boats, and a heavy farm equip across the country. I know this week he is moving a snowbird doctors grady from FL to CT. Routinely hauls from Baltimore to Vancouver. His rate is usually 1.50/mile, sometimes less if he can couple a backhaul. Sometimes hard to get ahold of, but always calls back. Cell is 772-538-5329
