Pete 1313's bottom pics look as though there is growth on the paint that wasn't washed off that's making it look crappy. New paint would look nearly as bad after it dries if it's not pressure-washed or scrubbed after hauling. If you trailer it each time just a quick rinse is all it needs. Use an ablative (multi-season) bottom paint. these can go on over any other paint but Teflon paints (used on racing sail boats) with just a good sanding. Or as mentioned the Petit Vivid or Interlux Trilux is good but you wouldn't want to apply it over an ablative if that's whats on there.
As far as stripping soda-blasting is the best way to go. If you have a penchant to spend money, and or sore muscles buffing to a shine is another option!! Looks grest but what a PITA.
