I have this written down somewhere but can't seem to find it. Need an estimate weight of my 2000 Sailfish w/twin 225 TXRY Yamaha's, fuel, water, equipment. I think it is around 8,500 lb? Here is how I calculated it.

Boat (dry weight) = 5,500 lb
Engines (twin 225 Yam TXRY 2 stroke) = 539 lb each – 1,078 lb
150 gallon (main tank) = 6.3 lbs x 150 = 945 lb
52 Gallon (aux tank) = 6.3 x 52 = 327.60 lb
32 gallons (water) = 8.35 lb x 32 = 267.20 lb
Equipment/rods/tackle etc = estimate of 350 lb

Let me know if I’m missing something or off with the calculations.

Thanks,
David

Hardtop if you have one, that typically is an option and not included in dry weight estimates from a manufacturer. Not sure what yours ways, my estimate, maybe 200lb for HT and pipework. Also as mentioned, in a dry weight batteries should not be included but could be, depends on the manufacturer. Also engine weights are really heavier then advertised, they typically aren't wet weights, and do not include any reservoirs either. You should be just under 9,000lb(possibly 8,800) roughly not including crew.
