What are these two hooks in the back? Some kind of brackets to hold a cover? 1985 Tournament

Nope. The hooks hold the bimini top when it's not in use.

haha thanks. I just removed my bimini. Figures. Did Grady sell a cover for this boat back in the day? I would love to get hold of one and do something with all these snaps

They sold a bow cover but never a tonneau or cockpit cover. In fact, only in the last few years has GW started offering cockpit covers as a factory option.

I've always had them made custom.....and they ain't cheap.....

I made a helm cover last year for MyOtherBoat. I have an industrial sewing machine but I am by no means an expert!
There is a pretty good video on making a helm cover on the Sailrite site. The trick is twofold: Use the pattern material to make an accurate pattern and use the double sided tape and strapping tape as demonstrated. One lesson I learned the hard way is that if you are using existing snaps, which you probably would be, install the curtains or any other panels that use the snaps to make sure that the sliding windshield snaps are in the correct spots. Make those spots with a piece of tape in case they happen to move while you are installing the snaps on the new cover. I has a few snaps that had moved but it wasn't obvious. Now going from helm cover to drop curtains and back requires me to readjust a couple of snaps. Lesson learned
