I see it, now. Maybe a cupholder? Is there mention of it in your owner's manual - maybe a parts section, if it has it?
We didn’t see it in the manual. The dealer told us it was for a bait bazooka?

We thought the same thing but seems like a weird spot. My first thought was a wine bottle holder? I tried to find a bait bazooka and that brings up some random things on google that I am pretty sure wasn’t what the salesman had in mind.

My husband agrees, that is the only thing that makes sense based on where it is.
Thank you everyone for the replies, this forum is great. Grady White Owner’s are so helpful- glad we are in the club!

Yeah, what skunk said. Always understood that it was for downrigger weight ball. Mine's not as hard core as the other one pictured.

Our has two of them, the picture I used I found on the net. One of the reasons I thought it was a wine bottle holder.

No it is not a cannon ball holder! Certainly not the 15 and 20 lb. we use. It is a cup ( drink holder) made with fairly light plastic. I pushed down lightly on of mine tucking a fishing rod away and it snapped. I believe they are on most models, mine 208 Adventure. 2006. Cheers, trapper

I’ve been calling on Grady White engineering for 31 years. It’s a downrigger weight holder

I always thought they are places to mount the fire extinguishers. Put the but of the tank in the hole and attach the collar bracket above. But this gets in the way of anything long you want to hang under the gunnel. Downrigging ball makes a lot more sense LOL.
