Charming

I have an electric head in my other boat and only use single ply.

There is a reason marine head toilet paper is available. I hope this is not where you are trying to save a few dollars by using what you have at home. The plumbing systems are vastly different. I would rather sell than do the unclog; don't ask me how I know!

Could anyone out there tell me if charming extra strong toilet paper ok to use in a marine head toilet
Don't do it!!! Single or very fine double ply tp is acceptable. If you buy enviro type tp that works too but stay away from the heavy duty commercial double/triple ply tp. You will be sorry if you don't.

My advice is to only use marine toilet paper or you will have your arms in dung up to your elbows fairly shortly.

And also to tell the crew to empty their respective bowels before coming on board. Just cause you have a toilet doesn't mean you should use it - certainly not over use. Make sure you treat the holding tank and pump out regularly - don't wait until full or worse.

Bunch of Youtube videos. Don't know if they got consistent results.

I guess those marketing boys have been feeding us a bunch of bull and charging extra for an inferior product. That crude comparison test could use some improvement but, on the surface, it appears the RV marine paper was inferior to the Charmin.

Yeah, I didn't like the way he let the Charmin fall into the bowl, and you couldn't really see it in his hand. I have seen a similar video with the opposite results, where the RV TP literally melted in the water.
On our boat, it's a moot point, toilet is seldom used and paper goes in a gallon zip lock trash bag, and off the boat at the end of the day.
