I've never heard of anyone using sealant, white or clear bottom paint in the NE. I'd never do any. Maybe in the great lakes or? I really think it is either in or out of the water. If in, bottom paint if out, trailer or lift.

A hoist or lift or trailer is your best options.

I am in Northern Lake Michigan, and my 30 ft Grady gets a scum coating in 4 days. Clean freshwater or not, Your boat will have growth within a week, and cleaning it is a pain. Hoist it out if you can.

I called on some pricing info for a floating lift. They wanted about 33k for it. That's a little more than I was hoping to spend on a lift, but I might just go for it. Most of the other lifts need to use pilings and that wouldn't work for my marina. and for stand alone hoists I haven't found one big enough for my boat.
