Cockpit depth measurement?

How and where is the cockpit depth measured on Grady? The advertised cockpit depth on the 235 Freedom is 25". On the 255, 275, 285, 307 and 325 it's 27". Where is that measured? Seems odd that there is only 2" difference between the 235 and 325. I know the 285, 307 and 325 have a wider beam, but the 235, 255 and 275 all have the same beam. Just curious. Thanks.

By raising the deck on the larger boats, they can eliminate some of the backflow scupper issues which plague the smaller ones.
For fishermen, there is such a thing as too much cockpit depth, so they have to find a happy medium.

i also think they do it near the stern, where it is at its lowest point. like coastboater said, they just raise the deck on the larger boats to achieve high freeboard and maintain ease of grabbing a fish
