I am just a week into owning a 1999 Marlin 300 with 2020 Yamaha 250's on it.

Was that the Marlin they had over at Port Harbor? Nice boat. Assuming all goes well, I am closing this week on a 94 Marlin 300 that needs a re-power. Not planning to put it in the water this year, so I have some time to find a couple of 250 four strokes for it.

Yes, it is one of the Marlins Port Harbor had recently. I grabbed this 1999 with fresh 250's and a good survey. Transom has one soft spot they are repairing this winter as part of sale. I have put close to 25 hrs on it already and have found no real issues.
They also sold a 2002 I think with original outboards on it.
