I am looking for a trailer for my 272 Sailfish. I have to have the boat hauled in the spring because it is so high on the stands I would't dare trying to lower it onto a trailer for what the cost of the haul would be. I have been keeping my eyes open for a nice used trailer before I pull the trigger on a new one. It will be just used once or twice a year back and forth a short distance to the mooring.
All winter long on my local CL there has been a 28-30' 2012 Venture tandem galvy 10,000# bunk trailer for sale. I want to call and make an offer and I am wondering what that trailer cost when it was new in 2012. It reportedly has only been in the water once in 2012 and sitting since. I know a new Venture aluminum trailer is a little over $4000 depending on the dealer and was't sure how different the galvanized trailer was when they offered them in price, I can only seem to find new aluminum trailers from venture now that size.
I know Venture is not the best of trailers out there, but for my needs I think it should work well. The other trailers I was considering if I go new was from boattrailersdirect.com.
Thanks
Andrew
