I have a new GW 275 ; somewhat puzzled about covering everything with the provided BLACK canvas. As Black deteriorates, i have found from other boats, the black leaves market. I would like to simply provide seat weather covers for the captain and co chair. Perhaps the lounge as well. Does anyone have any advice as to cover to not to cover during the boating summer months? also can you give me some tips on where to purchase chair covers if recommended?

A quality cover material like Sunbrella does not leave marks on the upholstery. I’ve had black Sunbrella covers on my two prior boats and have never had staining from the cover.

I recently purchased the following cover in Black (Size Large) made from a material called Sharkskin:

I was tired of wrestling with a full cover and did not want to pony-up the $1,200-$1,500 for a custom cover from a local Canvas shop. The Large (5075TTCR08, about $200) Universal T-Top Center Console Cover, fits my 251 CE very well. So far no black staining from this Sharkskin, but I’ve only had the cover for 3-weeks.

I purchased these a couple of years ago to cover my captains chair and back to back lounger when boat is slipped and have done a good job at protecting the seats from sun and bird poop.

not a fan of black as it gets hotter, that being said a marine cover made out of marine material is fine in black. it also hides the dirt the best.
