noon news has the area I live in with over 11” of rain so far and this thing isn’t going anywhere for a few more days. Luckily, not too much wind although we had a pretty good blow last night and a few tornadoes south and north of here. Also, not much surge, but the amount of rain makes for plenty of road flooding.

Debby is a nasty little bitch. The south jetty here on the Venice inlet was damaged a year or more ago by hurricane Idalia. The jetty rock was finally replaced awhile back and just last week they finally got around to putting asphalt paving on it. It's a real popular fishing spot and tourist walk. Well, the asphalt wasn't even set up good yet and I hear that Debby peeled it off again.

We got 11 inches of rain in 24 hrs. One fruit tree was uprooted, and we lost a few palm fronds. Not too bad. It sure had all the ditches running good.
