Here's what mine looked like...I buffed out the ghosting and eventually it faded. I too am happy with the outcome.

Magnesium is what Grady calls it. To me, it's a blue gray, similar to Yamaha blue gray color.

Heat gun with plastic razors worked awesome (maybe 10 mins a side). The bad news…. Now I know what the boat should look like. Wet sanding isn’t an option right now.
I’ve used meguirars one step compound (67) and their oxidation remover (49) to get the hull closer to original color with a porter DA with foam cutting pads. Any product recommendations for the top side? I think I need something more aggressive.

I haven’t attached the new decal from discontinued decals but I think it will look great once I figure out the compounding.

Thank you for the recommendation on the plastic razors. I hadn’t heard of them before and they worked great.
