If so, do you know WHERE the power assist pump or motor is?

I have an intermittent issue with mine (2006 330 Express).

I'm pretty sure it's a loose electrical connection but I know nothing of the anatomy of the power assist system.

Any advice would help.

Thanks,

On my 33 it was located in the Starboard wall behind the aft berth Starboard wall. Pain in the ass to get to and replace. Changed mine out twice.

Okay - Here's the deal in case you also have Power Assist steering.

The first generation pumps (mine is a 2006) were prone to overheating.
They have a sensor which shuts them down.
After they cool a bit, like 3-5 minutes, the pump re-sets itself and turns back on.
This is exactly what I experience - mostly while trolling when making alot of turns.

The newer units do not overheat as much due to a new and improved thermal switch.
They however cost $1,500 and can be found on Amazon or eBay.
