I have a 300 Marlin that had to be documented for the bank. How do you permanently mark the interior of the the hull with the documentation number?

I have a 2004 Sailfish - It is the model that has the sstern seat - The seat top lifts up and you have access to an area where the batteries and pumps are - On The inside hull wall I just applied stick on numbers that are generally used to put registration numbers on state registered boat - To make them permanent which is required I just put a couple of coats of clear resin over them and they are there to stay - The few times I have been boarded I have never been asked by anyone to see them - they just wanted the documentation papers
Good Luck

I have a 2003 Marlin that I purchased from a bank also in Oct 2010. I also have a friend in the Trophy/plaque business. He made me a lamacoid number plate that I glued into the bilge area under the rear seat with 5200. Anybody with an engraving machine can make one of these for short money.

Hope this helps :)
