I can't remember if I had to pay anything to sign up here, I don't think so.

Have you considered a model where some popular forums are pay only? THT won't let you post ads unless you pay. I don't remember what it was, I paid it, it was crazy expensive.

Coastside, the northern california forum, doesn't let you see fishing reports unless you pay.

In both cases, I paid and will continue to do so (maybe not THT because I have my boat :)

Just a thought.
