Are the "pull switches" for nav. lights, fuel guage etc. prone to moisture infiltration? When I turned on the battery switch the other evening the stern light lit up slightly, and when the switch was actually pulled "on" it lit up fully. 2 days later I checked it as with normal use and with a meter and all is normal. Could it have been compromised by rain wherin I should just replace the switch or is it something more complicated???
Thanks all, :hmm

What year Overnighter? I have a 1988 Overnighter and all my switches are factory original toggle switches. It has surprised me that at almost 25 years old they all still work. I have replaced one fuse holder.

If yours is a pull switch I wonder if it has been changed before. There is a wide variety of quality in the replacement switches and they are not expensive. I would start by replacing yours.

You can order a new panel from new wire marine, they did a great job on mine and it was quick turn around time, and easy to install...search my posts you can find a thread on it I posted. I took care of a lot of ghosts in my electrical system.
