I agree. There could be a time when you want the key on, but the gauges lights off - for example, during the day there would be no reason to have the gauge lights on. I would do it from the Nav light, though, not the Anchor light. It's possible you could be "at anchor" at night. So the anchor light should be on, but you wouldn't necessarily want the gauge lights on.

I get it... I just thought certain things were powered from the ignition switch. I’m happy not having anything powered from the switch.

Going to be close to 60 tomorrow... spring hopefully is just around the corner!!
