One of the spring hinges on my electronics box has broken free from the attachement point. Does anyone have experience changing out these spring hinges?

I changed mine a couple of years ago. It's a pretty simple unbolt the old, install the new. The hard part was paying the dealer what he wanted for the new hinges.

Hinges on my 258 had blind-side fasteners that I could not find a way to get to. Wound up just going with stainless screws and a little adhesive. Help up fine for years.

Hope yours are easier to get behind.

I just replaced mine during the summer. They're made by Southco but I bought them from my local Grady dealer. They aren't cheap but the boat was 12 years old so I can't complain too much.

The electronics box on my 228 swings down from the forward end which helped greatly getting to the nuts. Not sure if this is standard for all models.
