Evinrude ocean pro 200hp

Can anyone tell me what the metal bolt on box on the side of an evinrude ocean pro is? I looked in manual and it says nothing about it. Its located in on the out side of motor before you get to the lower unit it my be a cover for something I dont know but it is cracked on both motors Thanks

I think it's just a cover for the lower engine mount.

Sorry going off topic but how is gas mileage on the f26 cat? I have heard that they are terrible and just wanted to hear from someone who actually owns the boat instead of a boat tester.

Can't believe all the BS spred around about the Tigercat. It was, hands-down, the best performing boat I've ever owned, much better than the Sailfish I now have. Would have bought anotherTigercat in a minute if one was availble when mine was totalled.
