Here is a great deal for you vintage boat lovers out there! This is a 1979 Model 212 Chesapeake in near mint condition. The OMC V-8 has just 363 hour running time. Always stored inside on its trailer. This boat is just as it came from the dealer –nothing added or changed. Sun fading of color and decals and dulling of stainless steel are only signs of age. The vinyl cushions are like new. The previous owner told me that his friend, the original owner, had boat professional serviced every year even if not used! Last running in the summer of 2022 when a steering hydraulic hose failed. Repairs to a number of items started in 2023. Tasks left to be completed are connecting up the shifting cable, replacing the tilt motor and the trim motor- these are both mechanical units.
The boat has new steering hydraulic lines (2022), carburetor, batteries, starter solenoid and bellows (2023). The trailer tires are recent. The bimini top window was replaced several years ago. The boat comes with a wealth of spare parts. These include a new water pump, tilt and trim motors, carburetor rebuild kit, set of plugs, filters and a hard to find, and expensive , outdrive shifting cable.
I bought the boat at the request of the elderly owner. He had run out energy and was under family pressure to give the boat to a relative to be turned into a lobster boat.
Asking price is $7,000 FiRM . Located in South Bristol, Maine. Email me at andrews.sb@gmail.com
