PRI-G. A little tougher to find (I buy it from Amazon). I used it for years and never had a problem. Switched to Startron on a boat that I have now sold and had some fuel related issues. Went back to PRI-G on the last boat and this one and - again - no fuel system problems.

Startron and Yamaha Ring Free Plus.

First change of VST and all filters on motor and all were free of any of that white stuff from ethanol corrosive affects. No rubber pieces found.
Running perfectly.

Have been using Startron on former boat since it first came out and never had any fuel issues or water issues as well. Boat is stored usually in Nov/Dec and not back on water until usually April and fuel is always fine.

This seems to be a really good combination to negate the ethanol affects/issues.

Startron from walmart is cheapest I have found. Getting the Ring Free Plus from Domo Online cheapest found so far. Keeps the fuel costs down.

Startron claims to prevent carbon deposits. For you all that are using Startron and Ring-free, is it extra insurance or has experience shown Startron wasn't removing enough carbon?

Startron on PRI-G for ethanol. Ring Free for the carbon deposits. Use both.

I have had TREMENDOUS success with Startron in my boats. I work part time in the industry and we sell a bunch of this stuff, too. I have yet to hear of someone who has had a fuel problem when using it. With my Yamaha, I also use RingFree.

Here's a post I made awhile back in regards to saving a little money with Startron: http://greatgrady.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... ed#p139160

Family - I just realized I never responded to your question. I'll try to find out what they say about it.

I just use ringfree but we run the boat a lot - most seem to have problems when boats sit? The fuel we buy is also already treated with some chemicals too.

You can't stop phase separation of ethanol laced gas.

Additives might control the corrosion the water will cause, but all ethanol laced fuel will separate given enough time. 12 oz of some magic elixir can't change the physical and chemical makeup 20 gallons of alcohol infused gasoline.
