I got so much help with my fuel tank issue, I thought I would try my delam problem! I have a 1994 Seafarer 22 (226), I do not believe this boat was ever stored inside or under more than a tarp for cover. The topsides gelcoat is pretty chalky and will polish with a lot of work, hull sides are significantly better-they will bring a mild shine. My problem is the bow pulpit, the hard top and the anchor cover...........the bow pulpit looks like it was shot with double ott buckshot, it has fairly large chunks missing; I just figured the past guys dropped the anchor, chain and beer bottle over and over and over again. At the same time, the hardtop is splitting/delaminating around the edges, looks like layers are separating in pancake fashion. Lastly, the hinged anchor cover has a couple chunks pulling away from the whole....

I suspect these are know issue, what sort of repairs do owner's perform? New? Repair? Ideas!!

Thank you,
Bob

I'm in the same place. I just found someone to repaint the hardtop and fix the potato chipping around the edges. Forward hatch, storage box aft and transom door same thing. Anchor locker hatch rebuild too.

All repairs are epoxy and my paint guy wants to paint (not gelcoat). OK with me.

Eventually a full topside re-paint.

It's a known issue where cosmetic chipping occurs on the hatches. I had it bad. Fixed it over the winter, with gel coat. Can't even tell it was there. Do a search on this forum, you'll find photos of the process.
