Has anyone mounted a fighting hair in their sailfish?

That’s nice. What did you mount it to on the deck? Did you have to do any modifications to the subdeck?

My only concern is it makes the cockpit tight. I guess you can take it out when not being used?

Yeah it might get a little tight so a removable one would be nice. It is nice to have a chair if fighting a big fish.

Agree. It can be done, just may need to lug it to your vehicle or storage place when not using.

My only concern is it makes the cockpit tight. I guess you can take it out when not being used?

It did make it tight in the cockpit. Add a larger cooler for fish box and any more than four people in the back of the boat was difficult. I have since removed the chair. I use beanbag chairs for the clients to ride out and in on and they go on the bow while fishing. Makes fishing a lot easier.

Honestly, I think the fighting chair style of fishing is going the way of the dinosaur. Its gone to bent butt stand up rods and harnesses...or into a swivel mount rodholer...
