Hi All,

I need to fill in several screw holes in the floor and walls of the helm electronics compartment. It feels like plastic, but I'm not sure. Can anyone tell me what material this is and also any recommendations on what to us to fill them?

I've used Marine-Tex on previous boats but those were fiberglass. The boat is a 2001 Adventure 208.

Thanks,
Rob

Spectrum makes a gelcoat patch kit in the GW color...should match pretty close. Or, just put a screw and finishing washer in the hole and don't worry about it.

The enclosure is fiberglass. The Spectrum kit will be close but probably not a perfect match to to fading from the original shade. Marinetex will work fine but will be a bit (or a lot) whiter.
Depending on what you want to do with the holes, almond tub and bath silicone caulk will seal the holes but is not structural. If all you want is to seal from moisture, use the caulk. (The tub and bath have additives which slow down the growth of mold and mildew)
