Finally wet!

Damn near killed myself getting it ready the past few weeks. But all worth it. In the chesapeake bay with 15 to 20mph winds. Handled like a dream! Only 1 hiccup! Reserve oil tank pump quit pumping.. had to refill the engine mounted tank twice on the way back.

Honestly it was terrifying. LOL engine running like crap (smoothed right out after 5 mins) Rough water conditions in an untested boat.... but all in all it was great first trip.

There is a toggle switch in the motor that can run the oil pump to fill the small tank.

If I were you I would bite the bullet, remove the big oil tank, drain it, clean it, replace the little white inline filter and the rusty pump and whatever brittle or gooey tubing you find.
Be glad you only have one.

Toggle switch had no effect. I surprising knew about that one. Pump made no noise. Already ordered a new pump and filter. Going to test the wiring (didnt have my multimeter with me) but Im pretty sure its a pump issue.

Jealous. Selling mine before I even get it wet. Just headed in another direction to check off another bucket list item.

I have a NOS one in my garage if you haven't ordered the transfer pump yet.

Congrats! Make sure you clean the intake screen on the pickup inside the tank. Also, on the backside bottom of the reservoir, there is an inline filter that can get clogged as well. Good Luck
