Took the "EL Dorado" 45 miles out to the ledge Memorial Day in 2-4 foot seas winds variable less than 10 kt.

Fishing was slow, but we caught a few Dolphin and had a blast.

Boat performed like a dream.

If you want mahi off the coast of South Carolina you have maybe till the end of June, then it goes dead, but the king fish heat up in the summer. They are great to catch, but you should not eat a lot of them though. I get the spring Mahi bug something fierce - lol.

Right on Smokey.

I couldn't tell you how many times I've been offshore, but going out in our small little boat for the first time was perhaps the most satisfying.

We rolled 166 miles on 60 gallons. We could have gotten better MPG when we were running, but the seas were too nice and we had it way passed optimum RPMs the whole time, but it made for a quick trip. Still over a quarter tank left knowing we were burning it good so we'll take it.
