First Seafarer Question

I think I've decided this is going to be a bit of project so I'm going to try and find a good hull and possibly repower. If I go with Pre-SV2 hull what are the recommendations for motors? I'd like to focus on mid-range power so that I can keep the boat on plane in the chop. Thoughts? I was wondering if the V6 Optimax 225hp would be a good fit?
