Fishbox Partician

I have a Chase 263 with the fishboxes in the bow. The port side fish box has a partician in it that slides out. What is the purpose of the partician. It cuts the box into a 2 foot area and a 1 foot area (approx) box.

I think the partition lets you use one side for drinks with ice and the other for fish or anything else. If you look on pg 28 of the 2008 brochure there is a picture of what I'm talking about on an Advance 257.

If I recall correctly, that partition was also sized to fit a 5 gallon bucket on one side.
