Does anyone know how to reset the numbers it is showing? Mine is keeping a running total, and I don't see any buttons or resets.

I had looked at installing one of these - They say you have to install a switch to reset the total gallon used meter.

Anything that cuts the power.I have a switch in dash.Also, when I turn off my batteries after each trip, it resets itself.

Hate to break it to you but that's not supposed to happen.
The in dash toggle to reset the total fuel # isn't supposed to cut power to the unit either, you engage the switch for about 5-8 seconds and then it resets the total fuel #, the unit should still be working the whole time though.

Blackdiamond296, you are correct, as I now remember when installing the unit on my old 208. Kinda like a bilge pump wiring, always need to have direct power from the battery. Otherwise, when you cut the power to the flowscan, it can't remember where it was on the last usage.

There are 2 hot wires on my Floscan. The red wire is powered from the ignition switch and provides power to the unit when the motor is running. The green wire is connected through a fuse directly to the battery and is always hot and provides power to the totalizer. The green wire is where you want to install a normally closed switch that you can open momentarily so that you can reset the totalizer. I reset mine to zero when I fill up with gas.
Thanks for the info. Mine definitely does not reset when my batteries are off. It zeroed out at some point while I was working on her, but since I have put her back in regular use, it has kept a running total.

If you can find the fuse in the green wire, you could remove it for a moment. Otherwise you are going to have to lift the negative leads from the batteries if you want to reset it until you get a switch installed.

This has always worked for me but that's how it was when I got the boat (3 yrs ago). I just wrote my total after each trip to keep track between fillups.I think I would like it better though if it kept a running total until I refilled. Thanks for the tip. Easy enough to set-up. Dan
