We are in Ocean View for the week and i took my family to Paradise Grill for dinner. They were doing weigh-ins when we got there. Pretty cool atmosphere and decent prize money (not White Marlin Open money, but still pretty good)

If I'm not mistaken the biggest flounder in that tournament pays 100k or a new boat. Damn good money considering that average working people can afford to enter.

i havent really looked into it, but thats the impression i got. do you know what the cost is to enter and do all the calcuttas? i might have to look into doing it next year

• The registration fee will be $300/team from July 31st – Aug. 7th and will be $325/team from Aug. 8th – 13th. Team fee does not include Captain. The registration fee per angler is $150 from July 31st – Aug. 6th and $175 Aug. 7th – 13th You may have up to 8 registered anglers on your boat with one being registered as the Captain. Everyone on the boat must be registered, no exceptions!

so, $300/325 for the boat plus $150/175 per angler is how i read it. thats not bad at all
