Unable to remove old batteries from the stern hatch. The insulated aft cooler prevents the battery from tilting to provide clearance through the hatch. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rob

Pictures would probably help for those of us that don't own your model. But... is the cooler removable?
Thanks. I don’t think the cooler is removable. With no experience, was thinking that removing some insulation might be the simplest and safest approach
So... the batteries were obviously installed AFTER the boat was built... which means they'll come back out 
I see some type of tank in that picture, but not of the batteries? Where are they in relation? Can you post a pic of the cooler from the topside (with door open)?

First of all, greatly appreciate your help. The batteries are under the hatch to the left and I can get the battery to the opening however they are tilted at an angle that prevents from fitting through the opening. Will get out to the boat and take more pictures (it's on a mooring). Thanks!

You're correct my back was very sore after the initial attempt and then I had a friend assist a second time. The hoses are for the livewell and I think the livewell was a bigger obstacle than the front. Will confirm with my friend that was on the left side. thanks,
Just confirmed the live-well was the obstacle. We pushed the hose to the side. Thanks
As I get older, I find that I am more interested in what is under the deck than above it. That's to say, easy access is a very important factor. That includes maintenance things like pumps, batteries, gen set access and everyday things like sea cocks. I haven't gone as far as checking scupper hose and fitting access YET!
YET!Looks similar if not worse than my 225. I had to lay on my stomach, reaching out to lift batteries , tilt them forward and out of the opening. Scraped some of the insulation off of the cooler bottom, but managed to get them out. Glad I don’t have to do it often.
