Freedom 275 house battery

I’m in the process of buying a 2021 freedom 275 with helm master ex. I have two questions for this fine group:

1) it seems that Grady states helm master ex requires shore power… why is that? My slip does not have shore power :-(

2) I noted the boat had only two batters and no ’house’ battery. Have any of you added a house? Can a seas switch be added to keep it charged? or is there perhaps wiring for this already if needed?

What is the engine configuration and what level of Helm Master does the boat have.

I have no idea why the boat has to have shore power since that wouldn't be used at sea. Perhaps there are batteries that need to be topped off when docked? Sounds weird. If the boat has AC for example or a 120V fridge or similar and no gen set, then shore power would be needed to run those devices at the dock if that is a requirement
If the boat has more than one engine, I might expect more than two batteries but the need depends a lot on the loads when at sea and or anchored..

Thanks - it’s why I’m asking. Seems strange. It’s twin 200 with level 4 helm master ex.

irrespective, if it’s some sort of issue, I’d like to at least partially mitigate it by adding a house battery and getting the lights and electronics on the house. Maybe
