freedom 307 - AC unit in head

I am having some issues with the AC unit in the head on a freedom 307 ...

was running great - just started popping the breaker and won't run. Fan will run.

Is there really anything that I could check to try and fix this before I jump and try and get a new unit?

which brings me to my next question - they do not make this unit anymore - has anyone replaced it with something else?

tiny little space for something different - was wondering what would work.

boating is definitely a love / hate relationship. ;)

Is the through hull opened? Did you check the strainer, mine will start popping the breaker when the strainer starts getting clogged.

yes, thru hull open and I did check the strainer - clear :(

Do the controls have a display? If so it should flash an error code before popping a breaker.
check manual for trouble shooting, should be available on line if u don't have it.
There are plenty of threads about replacements, search on replacement AC.
On my old 2004? Boat the AC units (3 of them) all showed error messages about water flow, refrigerant low etc...
I assume they would do it on my current one as well a 2019 one.

Panel is not digital so no codes ..
