I’m planning my first long distance fishing trip, so fuel is necessarily a concern. How accurate have you found the fuel gauges on your Grady’s to be? I have Yamaha Command Link gauges and my fuel level for each tank is indicated by 10 bars when full. I like to think that each bar represents about 15 gallons of fuel, but am interested in hearing some real experience from owners. I’ll always carry more fuel than I think I’ll need, but I don’t want to haul around an extra thousand pounds of gas on a 100 mile trip if I don’t need to.

i've only used the level gauge as a reference. i rely on consumption monitoring. my '02 gulfstream was fairly accurate running a little higher than actual. dip switches could have adjusted but i left the margin of error.

my '09 330 was extremely accurate. slightly on high side within about 5 gallons (total) on refueling, with tanks run down to about 25 or so gallons each. good luck, ron

+1 to others advice above. Use the gallons burned number and not the bars on the gauge.

The best advice was given already. Use your gauge as a reference. Just moving yourself or passengers aft will cause the gauge to read a higher level but you actual gallons hasn't changed.
The one display that is a warning is one flashing bar as opposed to one solid bar. When that happens, you may be in trouble depending on how far you have to go to fuel..

I have an 06 33 express in which I run offshore regularly to the NE Canyons. the fuel management and gauges are spot on and accurate within a couple of gallons.
