Fuel pump

I have a 1990 25" Sailfish. I'm going through it and I need to get (2) new fuel pumps. I believe they are priming pump's. I have twin 2 Stroke Yamaha motors. The pumps are located just below the fuel/water separators above the bilge pump. They appear to be original Walbro pumps. I found the replacement pump's but they are backordered until at least middle of summer.

Does anyone have any suggestions on another make/model?

If you can get the specs, mainly the flow rate and pressure, you probably can substitute a newer model similar to
The Walbro FRB-13 met the specs but they are back ordered until late summer at best. I asked if they had anything with similar specs and they said the other models that are close are back ordered as well.
I’ll call Summit today and see if they have 2 in stock.

When I looked this morning it was listed as In stock but you should check.

I just checked and the FRB13-2 is on back order until June 1st. I think I’ll throw a couple of priming bulbs on and change that out when I can get the pumps.

I need to catch some fish

Curious about the value for electric priming pumps? I prime my lines once at the beginning of the season and never touch them again…

The quote I received was about $ 200.00 per pump. My mechanic said we should just go to a priming bulb but I wanted it back to original. I've decide to try the bulb and see if that keeps the motors primed.

Originally I was going to tell you to bypass the pumps all together but decided not to suggest that without knowing the motor models.
Everhoom has a point but he may have fuel injected motors. Yours may be carbed and that can make a difference with maintaining prime.
Are your current pumps dead or just look like they need replacement? If the later, use them and hope they hold up until new ones are available. You might want to carry a primer bulb and fittings just in vase a pump dies at sea.
Let us know how things work out.

The motors are 1991 Yamaha 200HP ModelL200TXRP 2 Stroke. One pump isn't working at all the other is cracked. I think the best bet at this point will be to install the priming bulbs and use that until the pumps are off backorder. Maybe everything will work fine with the priming bulbs. We shall see.
