Fuel sender ohms

I have a 1993 Grady White Adventure, has a Yamaha digital fuel management gauge. I'm trying to figure out if it has a fuel level gauge.
If not I want to install a analog fuel gauge. If I do I was wondering what the ohm reading range is on the sender.

What gauges do you have currently? Your boat most likely had a fuel gauge. If you have round digital LCD gauges, the speedometer gauge is also the fuel level gauge. On that gauge, the tank level is displayed as none to 8 bars on the right section of the display
Assuming you are in the USA, all senders have the same OHM range. 33 ohms is full and about 240 ohms is empty

It is the Yamaha LCD gauges, I thought the fuel reading was in the fuel management gauge. I'll have to look at the other gauge which is the RPM ...it's a new boat to me . I didn't see a speedometer reading only the RPM. I'll check tomorrow.

If you have three gauges, the third would be fuel management. These gauges when powered up, go through a sort of self test where all the possible display segments get activated. In other words, the fuel level will display 8 bars on power up and then will change to the actual tank level assuming all is working.
There is a simple way to test the sender and that has been described a zillion times on this forum but we cab go over it once you know what to look for.

These are the two gauges that I have , I don't see anything about a fuel level .

I pressed the mode button and there isn't anything that reads fuel level.
This isn't my first boat , but it is the first with this type of gauges

I believe on that particular one there IS NOT a fuel level (bars). Instead, you would reset the amount of total fuel used after filling up and then just subtract that amount from your tank size.

Does your tank have a fuel level sender? If so, and there's a pink sender wire, look behind your dash for the sender wire. If it's there, you can connect it to a regular fuel gauge that you would install.

Get the manual for the gauge and make sure the programming is correct. The sender is programmable based on US or European and there are other programmable options for your gauges. Might want to check those before you go into detail troubleshooting.

I checked all over the Internet can't find any manual for that gauge. Going to install a analog fuel gauge

I believe that is a 6y5-8350F-80 type gauge. Found the install manual on line at manualslib.com. One manual covers numerous legacy gauges including wiring diagrams

I have the diagram, and I don't need to look at it . I just don't like not having a fuel level gauge. I ordered an analog fuel gauge and will wire it in. Thanks for the input everyone.
