Fuel tank select valves

I’m not really to sure on which tank I’m trying to select on the valves. Does the handle portion of the valve point to which tank is in use or is it the smaller side of the handle?

Looking down on the valve handle, the shorter end should point to the tank you wish to use. It should also look like a small arrow, but hard to see sometimes .
