FYI Ongaro Wipers

Fyi had purchased a pair of Ongaro wiper replacements last spring (black) coated. Sold as marine wipers. Doing some prep this spring and noticed they were rusted out. Why in the world would someone zinc coat a steel wiper and sell it for use on a marine application ?? Luckily The local dealer had the stainless AFI brand in stock this year. Geez

Marine applications include fresh water environments.
Same thing for hardware. Stainless is not necessary for non salt water situations.
That said, I would think the sales person should have asked about the application
