I have a new to me 2000 gw tournament with a 2003 225 hp Yamaha Motor. Boat and motor have been great. the boat has a 92 gallon main and 56 Gallon auxiliary tank. There is a fuel management gauge which is unintelligible to me. The fuel gauge is very inconsistent so it is difficult to know how much gas is in the tank. I run the boat at about 3500-4000 rpm on Buzzards bay on cape cod using regular unleaded gas Long preamble to short question. About how far should I expect to travel per gallon? And, yes I know there are many variables that will effect fuel consumption. I’m just trying to get a ball park as I have no idea how much gas we are using.

I can tell you that my 2000 225 Tournament with a 2000 225 OX66 got an honest 2.5 mpg at 4000 rpm which was 28-29 mph. I had an EP-60 hooked up to the Simrad. I can also tell you that I got 1.5 at 5400 RPM and 42 mph.

I would think 2.5-2.75 for a 4 stroke is probably pretty close. You might see 3, but that might also be optimistic.
