Gas Tank Replacement

I have a 1990 Marlin 28 and its time to replace the gas tanks. Just got a quote of $1,600 for each 156 gal. tank!!??!! images/smilies/sSig_wow.gif
Does anyone have recommendations for other vendors to get competitive bids? Got this quote from Florida Marine Tanks, Inc. Thanks!

For a ballpark price figure on $1 per gallon. Depending on where you are, shipping may shoot the price up, but either way shop around.

Try amarket.com. Fill out the tank dimensions & send it in. I got a 93 gallon belly tank for my 227 for almost 1/2 the price of all the other quotes I got online. It was $550 + $120 shipping from Fla. Good Luck. Local welder wanted $1000. Several welders in NJ were in the $700-800 range plus $200 shipping.
