On my 2006 330 Express, I had my port side vent window open (the little triangle shaped one in the wind shield) - and while walking the deck my knee hit it just right and shattered the darn thing.

I'm thinking if I remove the other one (starboard), maybe have a local glass shop make me up one out of tempered safety glass. The two vent windows seem identical. Anything wrong with this idea? I fear what GW might charge me for this...

it's gonna cost you either way. you might want to check with taylor directly since i would doubt gw has "spares". if that cost seems prohibitive, a local glass shop should be able to handle the fix. good luck, ron.

ps: imho, that vent design is one of the worst i've seen. for a couple hundred $ they could probably come up with a more functional and secure design.

Thanks for your comments. I just visited my local glass shop and they said they can do it no problem. Not yet sure of the cost but I'm hoping it's reasonable. Agreed on the design of the vent windows - they definitely could be better!
