I finally got my new motors. I'm wondering if the 200hp 4 cylinder 4 stroke motors will perform as good as the old 6 cylinder 2 stokes. Any one out there have a sailfish 272 with Yamaha 200hp 4 inline 4 stokes on there boat that can tell me how they do? My 1994 sailfish is a heavy boat. Any input would be great.

You didn't state what HP the older 2 strokes were but power wise, I think they will be fine. You may need to fiddle with prop selection to tune for your needs.
In general the 2s had better low end torque but new 4s have made big improvements. That said, you had 12 cylinders firing once per rev but now will have 8 cylinders firing once per every two revs. That will affect the torque curve but as mentioned, props can help if you need more low end.
I would think you would have thought and asked about your concerns before you opted for the new motors:)

I expect we will be learning from you instead of the other way around.
