Hello everyone, I am new to the forum, I live in Italy, in the past I bought a 28 Albemarle, Virginia, now I have sold, and I'm about to buy a Grady 265 Express in 2002 with 225 yamaha in U.S.
On the forum in Italy, they say of this boat, which has not good quality 'of navigation, arrived at 25/26 knots, the boat tends to slide.
I wanted to ask you if you and 'what and how true this is the qualities of this boat.
I hope for your reply.
sorry for my english
Best regards Antonio

I have the exact same boat and I don't think it "slides", in contrast I think it handles extremely well for a 26 foot boat. You don't want to use too much tab with it but once you get used to that, it's awesome!

The boat will "bow steer" if you don't trim the motors right. Trimming the engines is the key. Use little trim tabs after you get the engines trimmed right. Once you learn how to do it, the boat is an awesome ride. She likes to run fast.

I don't have a 265 exp, but with all boats especially with people up front, watch your power, too much power and the chines can catch

Run the boat on a plane with the engines trimmed all the way down, you will feel to boat pull to one side or the other then trim the engines up a little at a time until you hit the sweet spot, then you are good to go. The boat is wide for the 26ft and thats why she will pull from one side to the other until you have the engines trimmed up a little. Then use your tabs just a little. A lot of power and shes wide. Once you learn the boat shes a monster. Let us know what you find out.

all the above advice is right on. Most issues are with trim, which you will pick up with time. good luck and enjoy her.
